Chemistry / Biology Teacher (Key Stage 3)

Our client, a private school based in Naivasha, is seeking a dedicated Chemistry/Biology teacher for Key Stage 3 within the Cambridge Curriculum. Responsibilities:

• Teach engaging Chemistry or Biology lessons to Key Stage 3 students, ensuring adherence to the British Curriculum.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that include practical experiments and theoretical instruction.
• Assess student performance through various methods, including tests, projects, and practical evaluations.
• Encourage students’ interest in science through innovative teaching techniques and hands-on activities.
• Provide additional support to students who need help understanding scientific concepts.
• Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment for practical experiments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and teaching strategies.
• Utilize digital tools and resources to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic performance.
• Fulfill assigned duties in the school duty roster, including teacher on duty responsibilities.
• Any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Education degree with a specialization in Science or a related field.
• Registered with the TSC.
• At least 2 years of experience teaching the British Curriculum at Key Stage 3 levels.
• Strong understanding of Chemistry or Biology concepts within the British Curriculum framework.
• Exceptional ability to communicate and present complex scientific ideas in an accessible manner.
• Proven track record of fostering a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
• Innovative teaching methods that inspire curiosity and critical thinking in students.
• Passionate about teaching and dedicated to student development.

Skills:

• Expertise in Chemistry or Biology and experience with laboratory-based teaching.
• Ability to design and conduct engaging science experiments and demonstrations.
• Proficiency in integrating technology into science instruction to enhance learning.
