About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Primary School Teacher with a focus on Kiswahili and Social Studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons that foster academic excellence and the holistic development of students.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with the CBC Curriculum.
• Use innovative teaching methods to encourage critical thinking, creativity, and curiosity in students.
• Monitor and assess students’ progress and provide timely feedback to help students improve their performance.
• Offer additional support to students who require assistance in mastering key concepts.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes collaboration, respect, and student engagement.
• Collaborate with other teachers to plan and execute interdisciplinary activities that enhance students’ understanding of both subjects.
• Participate in school-wide events, extracurricular activities, and projects that contribute to the broader school community.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and maintain open channels of communication with families.
• Continuously improve teaching practices by engaging in professional development opportunities, workshops, and training.
• Stay updated on the latest educational trends and best practices in the teaching fields.

Key Skills and Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Education with a focus on Kiswahili and Social Studies.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in similar role.
• Strong command of the Kiswahili language and a deep understanding of Social Studies concepts.
• A deep understanding of CBC teaching concepts.
• Ability to integrate technology into the classroom to enhance student learning.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
